KNOW OUTDOOR SAFETY

The fundamental premise behind the KNOW Outdoor Safety workshop is that every child deserves to accomplish the job of a child, to play but to do safely.  By providing our young people with a comprehensive understanding of the elements of nature that may pose a risk and empowering them with the knowledge of the actions they may employ to minimize potential risk factors we ensure that they have the ability to become partners in their own safety when at play.

Volatile weather exists in every region of America and dangerous events can occur quickly.  By educating, every child in the best practices to employ in the event of any outdoor safety risk through interactive skill stations we provide the medium that enables each child to integrate the workshop skills into their lives in a manner that enables action from a habitual response.  This ensures that if an outdoor threat were to occur, the child acts with immediacy rather than pausing to determine the best safety practices to employ to mitigate the impact of the dangers that exist.  The KNOW Outdoor Safety Workshop series provides each child with the education, knowledge, and best practices that will enable them to minimize potential risk-factors and practice safe habits whenever they are outdoors.  This obtainment and implementation of these practices has been proven to reduce the negative outcomes resulting from weather related dangers.
